William Gary Basinger, age 57, was born April 14, 1947 and died of cancer on May 20, 2004. He was a long time resident of Carmel Valley and retired in 2001 after 28 years at the Monterey Postgraduate School in Monterey, where he was employed as Transportation Officer. He served in the U.S. Army from 1973-1977.
He was born in Lewiston, Maine to Lloyd Basinger and Frances Paradis on April 14, 1947. He is survived by F.H. (Chris) Christian, his partner of 28 years; two sisters, Lynne Basinger of Brooklyn, New York and Barbara Basinger of Avon, MA; three brothers: Donald Basinger of Grafton, MA, James Basinger of Marysville, WA and David Basinger of Puyallup, WA.
There will be a memorial service in Massachusetts at a later date.
