C.W. Butler, 75, of Cord died Thursday, Nov. 13, at Central Arkansas Hospital at Searcy.

Born at Beebe, he lived most of his life in the Caraway area, before moving to Cord eight years ago. He was a retired riverboat company engineer. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church at Strawberry.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Butler of the home; five daughters, Neva Jo Little of Marvell, Kathy June Spanak of Maumelle, Karen Rowland of the home, Angie Taylor of Strawberry and Stephanie Esmon of North Little Rock; one son, Gary Butler of Hardy; two brothers, Jimmy Butler of Tumbling Shoals and Gerald Butler of Strawberry; one sister, Billie June Jones of Lynn; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Caraway Cemetery, with Harold Boyd officiating.

Pallbearers will be Andy Logan, Chris Walley, Roger Penn, Tom Beaty, Dwight Jones and Charles Beaty.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Lynn.
