Wilburn "Bones" Hill was born on April 23, 1900 near Calera, Indian Territory to William Nelson Hill and Eva Elizabeth Sanders-Stone-Moore-Hill.
He had two sisters Verda, born March 23rd, 1896 and Myrtle, born February 20, 1905.
He also had two half-siblings from Eva's marriage to Mr. Moore. Lewis M. Moore, born 1881 and Belle Moore, born January 18, 1885. Both half-siblings were born when Eva lived in Honey Grove, Texas.

Wilburn enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enlisted August 11th, 1942 when he was 42 years old and was discharged on April 8th, 1943 just before his 43rd birthday.

Wilburn died on June 27th, 1976 at 76 years of age.
