Russell J. Chapman, 87, Morris, IL passed away unexpectedly Wednesday Morning, January 17, 2007 in the Morris Hospital. He was born on September 28, 1919 in Manlius Township, LaSalle County, Illinois. He was the son of Hiram and Ella Hetelle Chapman.
Russell was married to Louise G. Johnson for over 61 years and they celebrated their anniversary on June 2nd of each year. He was a Real Estate Agent associated with McNair Realty in Plainfield, IL and Action Realty in Mazon, IL. He owned and operated Chapman Auctioneering Service with his son Dale in Plattville, IL for over 40 years retiring in the early 1990's. He was a believer in Christ and was affiliated with The Church of The Nazarene.
Surviving are his wife, Louise of Plattville, IL; three children, Doris (Ken) Walters of Lisbon, IL, Dale (Lynda) Chapman of Morris, IL and Kim Chapman of Plattville, IL; five grandsons, David Duran of Libson, IL, Michael (Teresa) Chapman of Morris, IL, Jeffrey (Melinda) Chapman of Woodridge, IL, Philip (Shari) Chapman of Oswego, IL and Daniel Chapman of Morris, IL; six great-grandchildren, Zachary, Mason, Peyton, Allison, Mattie Ella and Molly; one brother, Wesley Chapman of Saunemin, IL.
Funeral Services Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at U.C. Davis & Sons Funeral Home, LTD., 301 W. Washington St., Morris, IL with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Interment in West Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
