Tant Wells passed away on June 20th, 1920 at 9:00 o'clock and 45 minutes, age 68 years, 1 month and 28 days. Tant was married to Sue Ann Nicholas, June 1st, 1873. To this union 10 children were born, six boys and four girls. Two girls passed away in infancy. The baby boy was called away three years ago. Mr. Wells leaves to mourn his loss a wife and two daughters and five sons, who were all present.
Funeral services were conducted from the home by Rev. Alphon Goodrich. The music consisted of Miss Belle Cooter, Mrs. H. Hair, Mr. Dell Heater and Ira Parmele. Internment was in Messer Cemetery.

San Francisco Wells, better known as Tant Wells, a farmer, was born April 22nd, 1852, in Platt County, Mo., passed away Sunday Morning, June 20, 1920, at 9:00 o'clock am and 45 minutes at his home in Crestline after a short illness. Aged 68 years, 1 month and 28 days. Was married to Sue Ann "Susanna" Nichols June 1st, 1873. To this union ten children were born, six boys and four girls. Two girls passed away in infancy. The baby boy, Noah, was called away three years ago. Mr. Wells leaves to mourn his loss a wife and two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Furguson of California and Mrs. Lulu Wellman of Quaker Valley, and five sons, Lawrence "Archie", Lee "Roy", Fred, Otis "Chubb" and Ora "Peany" Wells, who were all present.
Funeral services were conducted from the home by Rev. Alphon Goodrick. The music was furnished by a quartett consisting of Miss Belle Cooter, Mrs. M. Hair, Mr. Dell Heater and Ira Parmele. Internment was in the Messer Cemetery.
