Herman Hans Henriksen, 84, of Frederick, PA died on January 18, 2017 at Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA, to Herman H. and Ellen Elisabeth (With) Henriksen, he lived most of his early life in and around Philadelphia, but together with his beloved wife, Louise (Muellerschoen) Henriksen, he enjoyed several years of retirement near Lake Anna, VA before returning to PA to live closer to his son.

Herman served in the Air Force during the 1950's, being stationed as far away as Greenland. He worked for the Philadelphia Electric Company for over 25 years where he made some of his best and lasting friends. He loved being outdoors, woodworking, boating, animals and his family. For the last several years, he devoted his time to taking care of his wife as she battled Alzheimers.

Besides his wife, Herman is survived by his son, Duane H. Henriksen (fiancé of Sian Bastable) of Perkiomenville, PA; his daughter, Lucinda K. Henriksen (wife of Nicolas Khoubbieh) of Falls Church, VA; his sister, Inger M. Harrison (wife of William Harrison) of Gilbertsville, PA, and three loving grandchildren, Zoe, Carlie, and Megan, all of Falls Church, VA.

A memorial gathering and service will be held honoring Herman on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Wayside Chapel in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., Birdsboro, PA is in charge of the arrangements.
