Dora Ann Glebe Bailey, 73, of Augusta, formerly of Udall, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 17, 2017, at St. Francis in Wichita.
Born on May 7, 1943 in Sabetha, KS. She grew up in the home of Corwan and Maud Durham in Udall. She was united in marriage to John N. Bailey on December 20, 1964 at Udall and the couple made their first home in Winfield before they moved to Udall in 1966.
She retired July 1, 2005 after 31 years of service to the State of Kansas beginning at the Winfield State Hospital and ending her career with the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services.
She enjoyed crafts, serving in her church, and fellowshipping with other tenants at Osage Manor in Augusta.
Survivors include her mother by choice: Anna Mull of Winfield. Children: Dan & Karla Worthington of Tulsa, Lodema Bailey of Winfield, Carol & Keith Middleton of Belle Plaine, and Bob & Linda Bailey of Augusta. Grandchildren: Garret, Dawn, Eric & Kristy, Jennifer & Charlie, Kyle, Clarissa, Amber & Erik, Janelle & Freddie, Tasha, Dillon & Kinna, John & Anna, Kayla & Darin, Tori, and JC. Twenty great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Sisters: Gwen Nance and Louise Sawyer, Brothers: Bob Knabe and Chris Myers, Sister-in-Law: Diane Glebe, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her loving husband John, brother Floyd Glebe, and foster parents Corwan & Maud Durham.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the United Methodist Church, 124 E. 10th Ave., Belle Plaine, KS. Visitation will follow the services. Memorial donations will be used towards the purchase of furnishings for the recreation room at the Osage Manor in Augusta. Memorial donations can be sent to Bob Bailey.
