He was the son of Cynthia K (Calimer) Baker of Waynesboro and of Steven L. Baker of Chambersburg. He was married to Amaris Hetrick and they had two daughters: Kayli and Bella; two brothers: Dustin L Baker of Shippenburg and Clayton D. Baker of Waynesboro. Cody enjoyed rides in the mountains, playing video games, cards, dice, boxing and spending time with his family, especially his girls. He was also survived by his maternal grandparents, Gloria and Larry Dean Calimer of Waynesboro; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Helen Baker.
