Ben Dale Bentley formerly of Sanger, passed away at his home in Joshua, Texas at the age of 86.
Born on July 5, 1930 in Sanger, Texas, he was the son of Marshal Owen and Lorene I. (Crandal) Bentley. Ben owned and operated his own trucking business which started with deliveries for Monnigs Department Store in Fort Worth growing into a long-haul business countrywide. On July 8, 1968, He married Jean L. Bartlett in Fort Worth (she preceded him in death in 2006).
He is survived by his children, Marsha (Downs) Grubbs of Savannah, Texas and Michael Dale Downs of Fort Worth, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one great-grandson.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Bolivar Cemetery. Michael Downs will officiate the services.
