Lenora I. Jensen of Ellsworth, WI, 95, formerly of Rochester MN, died Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Atrium Health and Senior Living.

Lenora (Lee) was born in Rochester MN on November 20, 1921, and was a graduate of Rochester High School. From 1942 to 1945 Lenora worked at the munitions plant, located in Burlington Iowa. She was employed there as a motorcycle currier and bus driver, shuttling personnel and supplies throughout the large complex. Later she entered the military and served four years in the Air Force. She was a long time employee of Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired in July of 1979 with 33 years of service.

Lenora enjoyed sports and in her younger years was a pitcher in her local softball league. She was active in her church and the Telephone Pioneers.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Lenora is survived by 13 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4th, at Bethel Lutheran Church 810 3rd Ave S.E. in Rochester, MN.
