Son of Amos N. & Mary Moore Eskew; widower of Annie Tarrant Eskew, who died in 1966.

Also previously married to Maud M. Pepper Eskew.

His obituary stated her was a veteran of World War I and retired from farming, and had lived in the Woodside community for many years.

He was survived by five daughters, Mrs. Frank (Alma) Ramey of Central, Mrs. Hugh (Frances) Hill (later Sherard) of Lowndesville, Mrs. Cecile Rousey and Mrs. John (Mildred) Barton of Greenville, and Mrs. Lloyd (Myrtle) Anderson of Laurens; three sons, Ansel, Joe, and Woodrow Eskew of Greenville; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services: Tuesday, September 9, 1969, Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Ronald B. Long and Rev. Hovie D. Revis, Jr.

Burial: Grove Station Baptist Church Cemetery
