OBITUARY.
MRS. MATILDA FOX
MULLUMBIMBY, Monday.
The funeral of Mrs. Matilda Louisa Wilhemina Fox, who died at her homeat Ewingsdale, was held at Mullumbimby this morning, interment being made in the Church of England portion of the Mullumbimby cemetery, Canon Rowe officiated at the graveside.
Mrs. Fox is survived by a family of six, the members being Miss Q. Fox (Ewingsdale), and Messrs. Jack, Leo(Ewingsdale), William (Brisbane),
Charles (Brisbane), and Bert Fox(Broadwater). Her husband, Mr. William Henry Fox, died eight years ago.
The deceased, who was in her 83rd year, was a native of Hamburg. She came to Australia more than 60 years ago, her places of residence in this country including Bundaberg, Woodburn, Mullumbimby, and Ewingsdale.
She was at Woodburn for 26 years, and while there she became well-known throughout other parts of the Northern Rivers district. Her descendants include 23 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mr. A. Beckinsale, of Bangalow, had charge of the funeral arrangements.
