Mrs. Christina Pihl, one of the early and best known of the Swedish-American residents of Sycamore, departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carlson, on South Park avenue, at about 6 o'clock p.m., on Friday, September 14. She had been an invalid for many years and for the past several years was able to move only in a wheel chair, her ailment being rheumatism, from which she was a great sufferer.
