Caroline Abbott, 94, of Henrietta, MO died Monday, January 30, 2017 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond. Caroline was born on August 5, 1922 in Novinger, MO to Clarence and Nora (Stuart) McClintick. She married Ernest Henry Abbott of Henrietta on August 6, 1939. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2005. Survivors include; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Tom Ainsworth of Lexington, MO; daughter-in-law, Helen Abbott of Kansas City, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Bill Mittag of Glendale, AZ; 8 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Caroline was preceded in death by one son, Larry Eugene Abbott; two sisters, Betty Cagna and Rose Ellerbeck; and one grandson, Ernie Abbott. Caroline was a seamstress for Dunbrook Shirt Factory in Lexington for 25 years before retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Henrietta Baptist Church. She lived in Henrietta most of her life. Caroline was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved music. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery
