Manuel T. "Manny" Acepcion, age 74, of Waxahachie, passed away on January 25, 2017 at the Arlington Memorial Hospital. He was born in Roxas City, Philippines on October 24, 1942 to Victor A. Acepcion and Magdalena T. Acepcion. He married the love of his life Mary M. Garcia on June 8, 1968 in Beeville, Texas.



Manny served in the U. S. Navy from 1966 to 1974 on both the USS Lexington and the USS Intrepid. He worked in Civil Service at NAS Chasefield, Beeville, TX, NAS Kingsville and NAS Corpus Christi. Manny owned his own restaurant and catering service and worked with the Bureau of Prisons, FCI Three Rivers until his retirement in 1998. He earned an A.S. in Electronics from Capiz School of Arts, an A.S. in Hotel and Restaurant from Georgia Military College and graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, GA.



Manny dedicated his life to Jehovah as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1991. He was a member of the Beeville English Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses until moving to Waxahachie, where he and Mary attended the Waxahachie South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Manny was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Magdalena Acepcion; brothers, Antonio, Arturo, Ruben, Victor, Jr and one sister, Angelina Amigo all of The Philippines; one sister-in-law, Dora A. Garcia of Beeville, TX and one brother-in-law, William Hulbert of Inez, TX.

Special thanks to his nephew, Dr. Victor F. Acepcion, MD for his constant support and friends from Beeville including Nip and Corene Johnson, Thurmond (deceased) and Sylvia Wilton; dear friends from the Beeville English Congregation who Manny and Mary missed when they moved; other longtime friends from the Kingsville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and their new friends who looked after the family here from the Waxahachie South and surrounding local congregations.



Visitation for family and friends will be 6PM to 8PM Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.



Memorial services will be 3PM Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2610 Brown Street, Waxahachie, TX 75165 and will be officiated by two Elders from the Waxahachie South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Jason Hamilton and Tony Rumph.
