She went home to be with Jesus Christ, her personal Lord and Savior, on February 1, 2017, aged 94 years and 9 days. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. She is survived by 4 sisters, Mary Alice Lee, Dorothy Shirk, and Alberta Lee, and Effie Yates; 2 sons, Clifford and Patsy Hodson and Charles Wayne and Billie Hodson, daughter, Martina Hann; 5 grandsons, Kevin and Cindi Hodson, William and Renee Hann, Kraig Hodson, Steven Hann, David and Carmen Hodson, and granddaughter, Ann (Hodson) and Steve Allington; 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She married twice. She was married to Arthur Bentley (Bud) Hodson in 1939 until his death in 1961 and was married to Kenneth L. Mitchell in 1965 until his death in 1981.
