ABEE RURAL HALL George Tipton Abee Nov. 10, 1947 - Sept. 16, 2013 Mr. George Tipton Abee, age 65 of Rural Hall passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Abee was born in Forsyth County, November 10, 1947 to the late Elmer and Doris Snow Abee. He was a member of Winston-Salem First and a veteran of the United States Navy. George retired from R.J. Reynolds with 30 years of service. Mr. Abee is survived by his wife of 29 years of marriage, Gail Abee of the home. One son, Shawn Abee of Kernersville and one granddaughter, Nicole Abee. Three sisters: Luanne (John) Smith and Patti (David) Stanley both of Siloam. Sharon (Bobby) Bolling of Clemmons. Two brothers; Brad and Steve Abee. Several nieces and nephews. Also his best friend, Mike Smith. Funeral services for Mr. Abee will be conducted Thursday morning, September 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum in Winston-Salem by Rev. Sidney Lanier. The family will receive friends at the Mausoleum from 10:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 290 of King, 446 South Main Street, King, NC 27021.
