Evelyn — “Lynnie” — was born June 11, 1931, at Buhl, Idaho, to Leo N. and Eva Maud Scully Jankowski. She grew up and attended school at Buhl, graduating from high school there. She enrolled at Marylhurst College in Marylhurst, Ore., for a year, before entering Holy Names Convent at Marylhurst. She completed college at Holy Names in Spokane. In her senior year she met Donald S. Becker who, with a friend, drove to Spokane on a double date. She and Don were married at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Buhl on Dec. 30, 1953.

Don had completed his ROTC training at the University of Idaho, and on their wedding night left for Georgia where he was to report for duty. Following his discharge in 1955, they moved to the Becker Farm near Genesee where they lived, loved and worked all of their lives. Don and Evelyn were very active in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Altar Society, was involved in Marriage Encounters and Search Program and she taught CCD for many years. She was a Mary Kay Cosmetics representative for more than 30 years, enjoyed gardening, genealogy and in later years, traveling. She was a cancer survivor since 1988.

Survivors names omitted per findagrave policy.

In addition to Don, her husband of 46 years, she was also preceded in death by an infant son, John, in 1974; and a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lee and Tom Nash.
