Constance “Connie” Haberman, age 73 of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota died Friday evening, February 3, 2017 at the Owatonna Hospital.

Constance Ann Ryan was born June 14, 1943, in Austin, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Norma (Hanson) Ryan. She attended school in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota graduating in 1961. On April 11, 1964, she was united in marriage to Robert Haberman at St. Columbanus Catholic Church in Blooming Prairie. The couple lived and farmed near Blooming Prairie where they raised three children. After the children were older, Connie began a banking career first as a teller at First National Bank, Peoples Savings and Loan and later Metropolitan Bank all in Blooming Prairie. She retired from the First National Bank in Hope, Minnesota where she was a loan officer. Connie loved to sew and quilt and enjoyed traveling to Branson, Missouri and to local threshing shows. Connie especially loved her family and she made sure to attend any of the events or games her grandchildren were involved in. She was an active member of St. Columbanus Catholic Church and the CCW. She also was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, serving in many offices including as President.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Haberman of rural Blooming Prairie; three children, Kelli (Jim) O’Connor, Joe Haberman and John (Katie Zipse) Haberman all of Blooming Prairie; five grandchildren, Katie (Sam) Wencl, Patrick (Krystal) O’Connor, Megan (Jake Lightly) O’Connor, Anna Haberman and Lacey Haberman; one great-grandson, Bennett Wencl; two brothers, Michael (Lois) Ryan of Montgomery and Joseph (Jill) Ryan of Maple Grove and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Norma Ryan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 9, 2017, at St. Columbanus Catholic Church in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota with Father William Kulas, officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Czech National Cemetery near Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 8th and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at St. Columbanus Catholic Church in Blooming Prairie. The Worlein - Blooming Prairie Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
