Charles Nester, 50, Baltimore & Ohio Railroad fireman and World War veteran, died yesterday at his home, 13 Roberts street, following an illness of ten months. Born at Rowlesburg, W.Va., Mr. Nester had been employed by the B and O Railroad since 1910. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on Dec. 4, 1917, and served overseas with Companies A and C Thirty-fifth Engineers from March 12, 1918 until July 8, 1919. Besides his widow, Mrs. Amanda Lease Nester, he is survived by three sons, Charles Jr., Donald and Arthur Nester, of Cumberland; two brothers, William and Samuel Nester, of Terra Alta, W.Va.; and one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Fitchet, of Terra Alta.
