Son of Jacob Way and Mary Funk. Married Harriet M. Sprinkle about 1843 in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland.

—Frederick Way died suddenly at his home southeast of Shelbina, Tuesday December 16, 1890, aged 76 years, 10 months and 7 days. He was born in Adams county, Pa., and lived there till he was twenty four years of age. He then moved to Fayette county, Pa. He came to Missouri in 1870, living In Monroe county at the time of his death. He was buried here Tuesday. Rev J. S. Martin conducting the obsequies. He leaves a number of children and grand children to mourn his departure.

—Frederick Way, one of Shelby county's early settlers, a man highly respected y all who knew him, died suddenly Tuesday morning, December 10th, at his son Luther's home, four miles west of here, aged 77 years He came to this county at an early day from Pennsylvania. The funeral took place from the house on Thursday morning, conducted by Rev. S. J. Martin ol the Presbyterian church.
