Mr. Devendorf was a long time Asheville hotel man and respected member of the community as well as a former Asheville City Councilman. He was the husband of the late Alice Minor Devendorf and is survived by second wife Frances Flowe Devendorf as well as one son, Wilbur Jr, and daughters Helen King and Jane Osinski. Mr. Devendorf attended Cornell University and was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
