Frank went to the Burrill School in Lynn and in 1900 was on a float for the Lynn Centennial Parade. He played a 2nd Lieutenant for Company B. There were 78 boys from the school playing the part of soldiers. The float was called - Lynn in Four Wars.
In 1909 he was initiated into the Damascus Lodge of the Masons in Lynn, MA. He became a member in 1911 and stayed a member until he passed away in 1944. Also in 1909 he was working as a Carpenter for his father J. W. VanBlarcom & Son. They were Builders. He was musical and played in the Odd Fellows Minstrel with his father J. W. VanBlarcom.
On 16 Apr 1911 in Lynn, Mass. he married Alice Louise Ford (1887-1967) daughter of Gilbert Thomas Ford and Angie Frances Lunt. Their first daughter Frances Louise VanBlarcom was born 21 Feb 1912 in Lynn.
In 1913, Frank VanBlarcom was driving in Lynn, MA when a young boy dashed out from between cars and collided with Frank's car. Frank picked the child up and took him to Cambridge Relief Hospital before heading to Somersworth Police Department to tell them about the accident. It was determined that Frank could not have avoided hitting the child. The child went home a week later in better condition.
For several years Frank who was now working for Atlantic Automobile Co. was also a Justice of the Peace for the town of Lynn. His company sold the Hupmobile as well as Cadillac. In 1917, he formed the corporation of F. H. Van Blarcom, Inc. He was President of the company which sold Cadillacs, Studebakers and Hupmobiles.
He filled out a registration for WWI draft in 1919. At that time he was married with two small children. His 2nd daughter Elizabeth was born 22 Jan 1916. He was not taken into Military Service. His 3rd daughter Elinor was born 19 Jul 1918.
He belonged to the Rotary Club and when a club member died would be called to be the Motor Escort for the deceased. About the time he became the President and Treasurer of F. H. Van Blarcom Inc, he was was voted in as a Swampscott Town Representative for Precinct 7.
About the time his eldest daughter Frances Louise (Van Blarcom) Hurd passed away in 1938, he became the Manager and Vice President of a company called Lynn Products Company. In 1942 he filled out the WWII "old man" draft registration. In June of 1944 he passed away.
