Albert J. Prochaska, 80, of Seville died Sunday, December 3, 2006, at Akron General Medical Center.

He was born on April 5, 1926, in Cleveland and lived in Seville since 1968. He was a superintendent at Otis Elevator Company and retired in 1991 with 45 years of service. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Rittman and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife, Carol, to whom he was married 52 years; children Robert (Sandy) Prochaska of Litchfield, David (Debbie) Prochaska of Bolivar and Ellen (Mike) Burg of Wadsworth; five grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Two grandchildren died previously.

Private services for the family were held Wednesday, December 6, at Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Drive, Rittman. The Rev. Father Daniel Reed was the celebrant. Burial was at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
