General Lavr Georgiyevich Kornilov/генерал Лавр Георгиевич Корнилов alias Lavga Gildzhirovich Deldinov/Лавга Гильджирович Дельдинов was born 30 August 1870 in Oskemen (Kazakh: Өскемен/Öskemen, ؤسكەمەن) or Ust-Kamenogorsk (Russian: Усть-Каменого́рск) in the East Kazakhstan Region (Russian: Восточно-Казахстанская область, Kazakh: Шығыс Қазақстан облысы, Şığıs Qazaqstan oblısı, شىعىس قازاقستان وبلىسى), Kazakhstan, one of 13 children.

Infantry general, military intel officer, patriot, monarchist, anti-Communist, explorer. Hero of the Russo-Japanese War and WW1. Named supreme commander of the Russian Army in August 1917. Organizer of the Volunteer Army/Добровольческая армия 1917-1920 in south Russia during the Russian Civil War (his subordinates were Anton Ivanovich Denikin/Антон Иванович Деникин (1872-1947), Pyotr Nikolayevich Vrangel/Пётр Николаевич Врангель (1878-1928) and Vladimir Zenonovich (Zinovyevich) May-Mayevski/Владимир Зенонович (Зиновьевич) Май-Маевский (1867-1920).

The Kornilov family is believed to have moved to Siberia from Ermak/Yermak.
Son of Хорунжий (A Cossack rank) (alternate rank: младший урядник, roughly a corporal equivalent) Georgi Nikolayevich Kornilov/Егор (Георгий) Николаевич Корнилов (?-1906), 7th Siberian Cossack regiment, HQs Kokchetav/Кокчетав (Kokshetau (Kazakh: Көкшетау / Kökşetaw/كٶكشەتاۋ). Georgi's father was an interpreter for the Cossacks in Karkaralinsk/Каркаралинск (aka Karkaraly (Kazakh: Қарқаралы) or Karkaraly). In 1869 Georgy Kornilov was appointed clerk at the city police in Ust-Kamenogorsk, a good salary and bought a small house on the bank of the Irtysh River, where Lavr was born. In 1878 he made officer.

His mother was Maria Ivanovna Kornilova/Мария Ивановна Корниловa from Argyn-Karakesk/Аргын-Каракесек (Lat 49.7833°, Long 77.7333°) Kazakhstan. She and Georgi married when she was 17.

Buried in a zinc coffin 1 April 1918 O.S. 14 April 1918 N.S. 2pm in Гначбау/Gnachbau aka Гнадау/Gnadau aka Гнаденау/Gnadenau aka Течбау/Techbau, an ethnic German Mennonite colony. The place does not appear on any maps, but it was described as being 40 miles from Yekatorinodar. It was part of the village of Novovelichkovskoy aka Novovelichkovski, Kuban. Najdorf and Dolinovskoye/долиновское probably occupy the spot today.

On 2 April 1918 O.S. 15 April 1918 N.S. the body was dug up and burned on a rubbish heap by the Reds.
