FARRELLY-Anna Marie (nee Gering) of Commack, NY at the age of 67 on May 20, 2004 after a courageous battle with ALS. Beloved wife of Edward J. Loving mother of Edward J. Jr. and Rene Ann. Cherished mother-in-law of Peter Fugaro and Janet Farrelly. Devoted grandmother of Nicholas, Matthew, Christian and Ashley. Dear sister of eight. Reposing at Clayton Funeral Home, Inc. 25 Meadow Road (cor. of Indian Head Rd.) Kings Park until Monday when a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10AM at Christ the King R.C. Church, Commack. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers , the family requests donations to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gerig's Disease) NYC or Good Shepherd Hospice of Pt Jeff Station. Visiting Saturday 7-9PM and Sunday 2-5 & 7-9PM.

"Anna Marie (Gering) Farrelly, age 67, died May 20 at her home in Commack, N.Y., after a courageous battle with Amyotrophi Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gerig's Disease).
She was born Oct. 26, 1937, at the family farm home near Ritzville to Henry and Bertha Yanke Gering.
She was a graduate of Ritzville High School in 1954, which her class celebrated a 50 year reunion at the Ritzville Alumni Banquet held on May 29. She had been looking forward to returning to Ritzville for the reunion and renewing old friendships but her health didn't allow her to do so.
Surviving is her husband, Edward J. Farrelly, at the family home; a son, Edward J. Farrelly, Jr., and wife, Janet; daughter, Rene Ann, and husband, Peter Fugaro; and four grandchildren.
She also is survived by brothers, Howard Gering, of Moses Lake; Martin Gering, of Ritzville; Paul Gering of Ontario, Ore., Ken Gering, of Salome, Az., Floyd Gering, of Switzerland, and Virgil Gering, of Spokane; sisters, Carolyn Lattin, of Olympia, and Lois McMillan, of Wilbur; and numerous nieces and nephews.
