Ulysses J. Abadie Jr. departed this life on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the age of 87. Husband of the late Ernestine Marquez Abadie.
He is survived by his two children, Denise Abadie Smith (Michael, Sr.) and Ulysses J., III (Bonita); foster daughter, Rozita (Adams) Sterling; grandchildren: Michael, Jr. (Karyn) and Mark(Shannon) Smith, Nicole(Edward) Woods, Kimberly, Danerro, London & Alani Abadie, Taj Lott, Cedric Walker and Chaligny Millon; great grandchildren: Kylie, Kenzie, Kason, Kamryn, Talon and Mateo, Amari, Jamie, DJ, O'Shyn, Zion, Jahlani, Rylie , Zoe, Jolie, and Ayland; siblings, Emily Connor, Agnes August, Yvonne Parker and sister in law Yvonne Abadie; devoted friend, Melva McFadden.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses, Sr., and Agnes (Thomas) Abadie; siblings, Joan (Tullos) Flint and Vernon Abadie, daughter in law Toni (Ross) Abadie, and a host of other relatives.
