She was born December 30, 1930, in Taylor County, daughter of the late Milliage Leo and Myrtle McDaniel McCracken. She is survived by her husband Delma Lee Abel, whom she married March 23, 1950.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Bolyard, Kate Abel, Jean Edwards; one brother in infancy, Charles Leo McCracken.
Ethel was a homemaker and loved to cook for family and friends. She worked alongside her husband on the farm and in the family business, “Abel Clock and Watch Repair”.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Ida Lee Wager and Wayne D, of Creston, WV, Nancy Sue Densmore and Neil, of Valley Falls, Judy Ann Messenger and Keith, of Grafton, Jeri Lyn Metz and Johnathan, of Fairmont; ten grandchildren, Justin Wager and Raquel, Dexter Wager and Stacy, Amanda Tingler and Jason, Jody McCartney, Timothy Densmore and fiancée Jennifer, Leela Densmore and fiancé Aaron, Amanda Messenger and Joey, Nancy Clark and Faris, Sarah Metz and fiancé Cody, Ethan Metz; thirteen great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Bethany, Ryan, Cole, Flora, Sophia, Dakota, Madusta, Evan, Graydon, Alexis, Adylyn and one on the way “Tadpole”; one great-great-grandson, Tanner and one on the way; four sisters, Betty Carr, of Grafton, Connie Abel and Eddie, of Grafton, Barbara McMillin, of Joliet, IL, Anna McCloy, of Grafton; step-mother, Helen Zorik McCracken, of Grafton; one brother-in-law, Bill Abel, of Grafton
