Marie Josephine Konell, 87, passed away on January 31, 2017. She was born Marie Day on August 5, 1929, she was the daughter of William and Erlamond {nee Wells} Day. In her early years, she lived in East Chicago Indiana.
On May 29, 1948 she married Richard T. Mueller. Living in the area of Wolcott, Indiana, they raised three children, Thomas, Alan and Theresa. In 1968, they moved to Peshtigo, WI. Richard preceded her in death on April 3, 1972.
On Oct. 27th, 1973, Marie married Kurt Konell.
Together they traveled the United States and Europe creating treasured memories. Their home in Porterfield, WI on the Menominee River brought her joy where she could bird watch and spend hours in her many beautiful flower gardens.
Marie was a woman of great faith, spending hours volunteering and doing mission work. A talented, artist, her art work and paintings are cherished by her children, grandchildren and friends who she gifted with her masterpieces.
Marie is survived by her husband, Kurt;
a son Alan Mueller of Francisville, Indiana;
a daughter Theresa (Jon) Glover of Freeport, Texas.
Also survived by daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Mueller;
sisters-in-law, Sharon (Roger) Marquardt, Trina Mueller, Caroline (Don) Miller,
brothers-in-law, Sid Konell, Adrian (Linda) Konell and Ray (Joan) Mueller; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Mueller; a son Thomas Mueller and a grandson, Matthew.
A Memorial Service will be held on February 18, 2017 at the Community Lutheran Church with visitation from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with a service at 4 p.m. officiated by Rev. Steve Fewell.
