Frances Roberts Jones, age 93 of Hendersonville, peacefully passed away February 11, 2017. Frances was born July 8, 1923 in Portsmouth, Virginia. Although preceded in death by her parents, Penelope Macrae Roberts and Calvin Archer Roberts and husband, William Jones, she is survived by their 3 children; Penny Mcwhirt, Bill Jones(Kit), and Tim Jones(Debbi). Frances’ memory will live on as family and friends remember her many talents. Frances was known as an exceptional cook, who was famous for her sensational fried chicken. She was a devoted homemaker with a green thumb, who sincerely enjoyed gardening. Frances was enchanted by bird watching and treasured her collection of pig figurines. However, Frances’ 6 grandchildren; Jennifer McWhirt, Teresa McWhirt(Ken), Scot McWhirt, Amy Vann(Cliff), Hannah Ripani, and Caren McFall(Nathan), 11 great-grandchildren; Sarah McWhirt-Toler, Amanda Musgrave, Sean Kennedy, Abby Kennedy, Rebecca Vann, Maggie Vann, Cale Vann, Tristan Ripani, Laurel Ripani, and Annabelle & Juniper Mcfall were her biggest joys.
Interment at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
