Everett O'Connor York, Jr., passed away at home on February 12, 2017, at the age of 87. He was born on January 9, 1930 in Pulaski County, Missouri to Everett M. and Naomi H. York. Everett was united in marriage to Genevieve McGill on October 24, 1950. He worked for McDonnell Douglas for over 40 years and several years as a U.S. Postal mail carrier in Wright City, Missouri. He was also a television repairman for many years. His wife, Genevieve; grandson, Jeffrey Wayne York; parents; four brothers and one sister preceded him in death. He is survived by his four children, Jerry (Deborah), Dennis (Brenda), Tina and Leonard, all of Wentzville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Stacey and Christian Klein I of Lantana, Texas, Zachary York of Wentzville, MO, Allysia York of Auxvasse, MO and Dakota Stroman of Auxvasse, MO; four great-grandchildren, Catherine, Elizabeth and Christian Klein II of Lantana, TX, Dax York of Auxvasse, MO and two sisters, Wanda and Helen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Everett was a member of the American Legion Post #323. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Everett enjoyed watching western movies and the Cardinal's play baseball. He was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
