Alice Leone CLARK, (nee Keeling) - Better known as Bunny passed away peacefully at Kelso Villa in Owen Sound on Sunday March 10th, 2013 at the age of 105. Predeceased by her beloved husband Lloyd Clark, her parents Sid and Hattie Keeling, her son Paul Clark, and her brother
Butch Keeling

Leone Clark, everybody calls her by her childhood nickname "Bunny" is something of a legend in Owen Sound athletics. She's a two-time member of the Owen Sound Sports Hall of Fame both as an individual and as part of the storied Wawanekas, a women's softball team that came within a game of clinching the all-Ontario championship in 1929.

Bunny played as many sports as she could find time to play. In addition to softball in summer, there was also tennis, badminton and golf. In winter, she played basketball and curled. In youth, she taught swimming at the Y and she skated all the time.

Bunny's older brother, Melville "Butch" Keeling, went on to the National Hockey League where he scored 157 goals in 526 games during 12 seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs and the New York Rangers.

But Bunny also showed skill in hockey as a child, part of a lifelong commitment to sport and athleticism that may well be part of her longevity.

In 2005, then-governor general Adrienne Clarkson presented Clark with one of 29 Caring Canadian awards that year for her athletic and volunteer contributions over many years in Owen Sound.

Arrangements entrusted to the BRECKENRIDGE ASHCROFT FUNERAL HOME, 241 -9th Street West, Owen Sound N4K 3N7 As an expression of sympathy donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Bunny will be missed by her other relatives and many friends. Cremation and interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
