Josephus Junior Billingsley, 75, of Tipton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Capitol Regional Hospital in Jefferson City. He born to Josephus Elias and Letha Floy Potter Billingsley in Galt, Missouri.

Junior and Cheryl were married July 26, 1975 and celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary this past year. After living and working in Independence, Missouri for 18 years they moved to the Tipton area in 1991 where they’ve made their home. Junior enjoyed watching gameshows, attending flea markets, watching Tyler Blank, his favorite race car driver at the XX Speedway in California, and Saturday morning breakfasts with brothers and sisters at the Downtown Café in Tipton. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents; son Josephus Junior Billingsley, Jr.; grandson Cory Wierman and sister Dorothy Arbuckle.

He is survived by wife Cheryl Billingsley of the home; son Timothy Wayne Billingsley of Columbia; daughters Letha Floy Gardner of California; Mindy Billingsley of Clarksburg; Marie Parry and Scott of California, Valarie Siebert and her husband Brent of California, Kristy Gillpatrick and her husband Troy of Tipton, Shelley Draffen and her husband Donald of Tipton; brothers Floyd Albert Billingsley and his wife Cathy of Independence, Missouri and Virgil Leon Billingsley and his wife Loretta od Independence, Mo.; sisters Eva Jane Davis and her husband Sonny, Doris Schrudder all of Independence; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Junior Billingsley will be 3:00 PM Friday, February 17. 2017 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton with burial immediately following in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-3 PM Friday prior to the funeral service.

Memorials are suggested to the Junior Billiingsley Memorial Fund.
