Age 89 - Palmer served with the US Navy during WW II aboard the USS Chester, and was awarded 2 Purple Hearts. After leaving the Navy he worked as a self employed general contractor for over 40 years until retiring. He was a lifelong member VFW Post 2498 in Needham.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette Rogers of Bristol, RI, his 2 sons Wayne Rogers and his wife Jan and Brian Rogers and his wife Cynthia, his 2 daughters Susan Rogers and Robin Rogers.
Also survived by his sister Beulah Anderson, his brother Earl Rogers and 8 step children, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife Constance (Cannata) Rogers.
