He was born on May 14, 1928, in Crystal Spring, a son of the late Soloman V. and Ella Mae (Hixson) Fink.
On Sept. 8, 1954, in Hagerstown, Md., he was united in marriage to Barbara E. (Messersmith) Fink.
Along with his wife of 62 years, he is survived by daughters, Audreanna Centi, married to Steve, and PattiJo, married to Fred Dibert; grandchildren, Amber Dawn Centi and Brandy Centi; siblings: Dorothy Heater; LaRue Whitmer; Ruby Calhoun, married to Albert; Velma Carson, married to Lee; and Mary Edna Ramsey, married to Leo; and brother-in-law George Carson.
He was preceded in death by sister Audrey Carson.
Mr. Fink served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division as a guard on the Berlin Wall. Roy was employed at New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company for 41 years as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. He enjoyed attending car shows and was always fond of his Ford Mustang cars.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, with Pastor H. Lee Ritchey officiating.
Family and friends may call at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, on Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
