She was born June 6, 1920 in Park Falls, WI, the daughter of William and Ella (Herbst) Gruber. Annabelle married Joseph F. Deriigle on July 8, 1942 in Park Falls, WI. He was killed in action at the battle of the Bulge on January 21, 1945. They had one daughter. She then went on to marry Otto Abel on September 3, 1947. They had one son.
Annabelle worked at Beloit Dye Works for 17 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church for 50 years. Annabelle was also a member of the Marian Guild, V.F.W., Senior Citizen group and cercemics.
She is survived by her daughter; son; grandchildren; great grandchildren; brother; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Beloit Regional Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Annabelle.
She was predeceased by her two husbands, Joseph Deriigle and Otto Abel, parents William and Ella; three brothers Edward, Lenard and William, five sisters Helen, Lucille, Margaret, Marie and Dori.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 in St. Jude Catholic Church, 747 Hackett Street Beloit, WI. Inurnment will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Thursday in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
