Murphy was a Ragdoll breed. In his younger years he weighed in at about 18 lbs. Ragdolls are big cats. They are known for their laid back attitude & they tend to flop around (like a ragdoll) hence the name.

He had beautiful blue eyes (ragdolls have Siamese genetics in their line) a fluffy body & tail and large white paws.

He was adopted at the age of 2 and for many years afterwards he was the loyal & loving kitty of his mistress Christie. He stuck by her like glue.

This cat had the best personality. He didn't mind kids, other cats, dogs...he was quite tolerant.

Murphy was a big talker. He tried so hard to be understood by humans. If you didn't get it the first time then he said it again & again.

His interests were:
Being outside (but never alone) and walking around with Momma, sniffing the fresh breeze & every plant.
* eating grass
* drinking water from the creek
* laying on the bench by the creek
* laying in the Gazebo by the garden
* laying on the sidewalk near the back porch

Inside, he enjoyed laying on either of the 2 cat trees. Playing with various toys. Sometimes he liked to sleep in the darkest quietest place (in the lower kitchen cupboards, back of the closet, or under the bed) & not come out when called, making his mistress panic & worry that he had gotten out. But then he'd emerge, yawning & wondering what the fuss was about.

He loved boxes of all kinds & shapes. There was never a box he didn't try out - regardless of size.

Paper bags were another interest of his. Laying on top of magazines & paper was a joy to him.

In the spring of 2016 he was diagnosed with a Mast cell tumor in his abdomen. He had surgery to remove the tumor by the surgeons at CARE Vet Clinic in Frederick, MD. Several months later he began getting small tumors all over his body & those were tested & found to be Mast cell tumors as well.

At the time when he was no longer eating or having any quality of life, he was gently euthanized by a loving Vet while being held by his Momma. His spirit then crossed over that rainbow bridge which we so often talk about.

Murphy leaves behind his beloved brother, Morgan & 2 sisters: Ziva & Mitzi

He will always & forever be cherish & missed by all who knew him.
