MCDERMOTT- Conley Cable, 88, of, McDermott, Ohio, passed away Tuesday May 3, 2016 at the SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born November 9, 1927 in Pike County, Kentucky, son of the late William and Mamie Laws Cable. Surviving are two sons, Roger Cable and wife Carolyn of Lucasville, Ohio and Randy Cable and Trish of McDermott; five daughters, Judy Sparks and husband Steve of Lucasville, Wilma Powell and husband Roger of McDermott, Pamela King and husband Duane of Clarksville, Tennessee, Freda Breech of McDermott, and Patricia Lyle and husband Leslie of Lebanon, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren, Roger, Nancy Melissa, April, Tim, Becky, Leah, Randy, Joshua, Amber, Crystal and Savannah; 18 great grandchildren, Hunter, Ian, Laiken, Heather, Caleb, Chase, Dakota, Cheyenne, Madison, Kolton, Khloe-Mae, Laryn, Kynslee, Courtney, Raelyn, Alyssa, Lexi and Kylie; two great-great grandchildren, Gunner and Elaina; one brother, Ed Cable of McDermott; three sisters, Annalee Brannan of McDermott, Shirley Hammons of West Portsmouth and Lena Brannan of Columbus, Ohio; four step grandchildren, Roger Powell, Jr., Mary Elliott, Melissa Hall, and Albert Breech, Jr. In addition to his parents, Conley was preceded in death by four brothers, Clayton, Alfred, Albert "Bud" and Raymond Cable, and five sisters, Gladys Baker, Dorothy Cable, Pearlie Culver, Opal Fleming and Edna Cable; grandsons, Steven Sparks II and Homer Cable; one granddaughter, Lora Lee Cable; two great grandsons, Jordan Dunham and Bryce Penix, and the mother of his children, Martha Cable Graham.
Conley was retired from Waller Brothers Stone Company in Portsmouth and member of Pleasant Hill Community Church at McDermott.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday May 7, 2016 at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway, Ohio with Rev. Roger Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Cable Family Cemetery, McDermott.
