He was a Army veteran of the Korean War. Bill was retired from THE KERITE COMPANY. He was a communicant of St. Augustine Church, and a former member of the Seymour Father's Club.
Bill and his wife Irene were avid UCONN Huskies Women's Basketball fans, so much so that they enjoyed following the team all over the country.
Besides his wife, Bill leaves his loving family including his children, Bob Blythe (Diana) of Woodbridge, Lin Walsh of Seymour, Sue Dowdell (Joseph) of Beacon Falls, Mark Blythe (Nora) of Wilmington, Delaware, Karen Thomas (Ray) of Westbrook, and John Blythe (Jessica) of Oviedo, Florida; his grandchildren Eric, Adam, Alex, Robert, Jennifer, Heather, Joshua, Matthew, Sarah, Katie, Connor, Kylie, Joshua, Benjamin, Corey, Avery, and Lily; and great grandchildren, Skyler, Genieva, Brandon, and Jaime.
