Mrs. Meta C. Guenther, 83, of 532 Evans St., died Saturday at 11:50 a m. at Mercy Hospital. She had been in ill health for six months.

She was born in Oshkosh on April 27, 1877, and was married here on March 2, 1910, to Harry Guenther, who preceded her in death in July 1942. They operated a delicatessen and grocery store for 37 years until her retirement five years ago.

Mrs. Guenther was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church.

Surviving are three sons, Harry, chief of the Oshkosh police department, Robert and Richard Guenther, Oshkosh; two brothers, John C. and Herbert F, Voss, Oshkosh; and nine grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Jane Senderhauf, died in April 1955.

Services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home, with the Rev. B. H. Romanowski, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiating. Burial Will be in Riverside Cemetery Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. today until the hour of services. A memorial has been established, to which friends- may contribute, to the Christian education building fund of the church.
