Constance was born in 1895, the eldest daughter of Field Marshal William Riddell Birdwood, 1st Baron Birdwood, GCB GCSI GCMG GCVO GBE CIE DSO and Janetta Hope Gonville Bromhead.

World War 1 Service
Constance served with the Australian Army Nursing Service (WW1), Staff Nurse, Staff Nurse, Australian Army Nursing Service (WW1). Further information can be found on the Virtual War Memorial site under her Maiden name.

In 1919 Constance married Frank Colin Craig.

Constance passed away on 19.10.1975. Her remains were buried at Karrakatta Cemetery and Crematorium, aged 80 years.
