Daughter of Kiler Kent and Ambolena (Hansen) Jones. Her father was associate editor on a newspaper which later became The Chicago Tribune. He made and lost his fortune more than once; his reversals of fortune included losses in the Great Chicago Fire.

Children: Thatcher, Charles Gilbert Jr., and Jackson Dana Comstock.

Charles and Anna Comstock also had a son, named for her father: Kiler Kent Comstock, who was mentioned in many newspaper articles but who is not mentioned in family histories. Kiler married, in November 1903, Gussie Maud Barber of Michigan. One notice mentioned Kiler Comstock "was farming near Saugatuck" Michigan, where the bride's family resided.

Son Jackson "Jack" Comstock married Miss Beryl Zoller in Chicago, Illinois, 28 April 1915. The groom resided in Cleveland, Ohio, at that time.

"Jack" also married Ruth Johnson 7 May 1949 in Chicago, Illinois.
