This is not William Benson Perry - a different line.

William Perry was born about 1820 TN and was last listed as age 58 on the 1880 census of Humphreys Co. He spent his life on Tumbling Creek. Parents of Wm Perry are undocumented. His link to Kinchen Perry (also of Tumbling Ck) is not documented but Kinchen Perry and his Sanders wife could be William's parents. Wm named a son Kinchen. In 1840 Kinchen and Wm are on the same census page. No wife is listed for Kinchen age 60-70.

DNA links this William Perry''s line to Kinchen Perry and his wife who was a Sanders. Her parents were William Sanders and Sarah Ragan. Kinchen Perry's father was Ephraim Perry son of Nathaniel Perry and Rebecca Offutt. Kinchen Perry's daughter Rebecca married Sion Tubbs and moved to Perry Co. AL. Kinchen's daughters Nancy Willey and Alzada married West brothers and first moved to Missouri.

Matilda who married Robert Smith a daughter of Kinchen per DNA.

Kinchen's son Jeremiah moved from Benton Co., TN to Mississippi by 1850 census. Jeremiah had daughters who married in Texas in 1850's so maybe they moved there pre war.

Descendants of Wm Perry are DNA linked to Jeremiah, Alzada, Nancy, Rebecca and Matilda - all children of Kinchen.

A descendant of Mary Jane was Ancestry DNA tested and linked to James Crowell. The death certificates of Kinchen Perry in TN and one twin, Poney Perry in Fulton, KY both have their mother's maiden name as Crowell.

William married second to a widow Rhoda (Sanders) Toland. She was attending the estate sale of her late husband J. W. Toland in March 1853 when Jane's twin boys were born.
