In his youth, Jacob was active in all sports: football, baseball, basketball, and cross-country. In addition, he served as an alter server at St Ann’s Catholic Church for 5 years as a teenager. Later in high school, Jacob was a class officer all four years, and a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Club. He excelled and lettered in both baseball and basketball, and most notably he was a UIL Texas State Champion as a member of the first-ever Kaufman High School Cross-County Championship team in 2012. Jacob graduated high school with honors in the top 20% of his class (#40 of 250), and received multiple scholarships. In the Fall of 2012, Jacob was accepted and started his freshman year in college at Texas State in San Marcos TX. Later that same year Jacob made a decision to return to Kaufman and started the next chapter of his life.
In his next chapter, Jacob discovered an immeasurable passion for metal fabrication, was a hard worker, and pursued becoming a master fabricator and welder. Jacob never met a stranger, and was always humble. He was a selfless individual, and placed others ahead of his own desires. Jacob’s faith and family were always on the forefront of his life. He was the commensurate family member and friend, who earned the respect and admiration of all those he encountered in his life. He led a remarkable life in his youth, always brought life to the party, and had a positive attitude and outlook on life. He loved his Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Mavericks; he just knew in his heart this was the year for his Cowboys to do it again!Jacob was a devoted son, loving brother, grandson and family member. He was a gentleman, who always had a grand respect for his elders. His personality and smile was one of a kind; he will be greatly missed. However, he will live in our minds, hearts, and souls forever!
