Services for Alvin Frank Merrill, 46, 2630 N. E. 32d place, salesman for Cook Equipment company, who was fatally injured Wednesday when a concrete mixer truck he was driving rolled over, will be at 11 a. m. Tuesday in the Little Chapel of the Chimes. Rev. Leonard Odiorne, Westminster Presbyterian church, will conduct the services. Interment arrangements have not yet been completed.
Mr. Merrill was born in El Paso, Texas, in 1907, and moved to Portland with his parents in 1910. He was educated in Portland schools and graduated from Benson polytechnic high school.
He served as a salesman with the truck division of International Harvester company for 15 years prior to joining Cook Equipment company.
Surviving are his widow, Veda; a son, Richard; two daughters, Caulean, a student at the Sorbonne in Paris, and Diana, and his mother, a resident of San Diego, Cal.
He was a member of the Maritime Masonic lodge.
