Hazel Mitchell, age 82, of Warren, died Saturday, November 9, 2002, at Bradley County Medical Center.
She was born February 3, 1920, in Kingsland, she was a daughter of the late Henry Christian and Ella Conner Christian.
She was a homemaker, member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and the widow of Charlie Mitchell, who died May 4, 1995. They were united in marriage September 11, 1937.
Survivors include one son, Charles Mitchell and wife, Sarah, of Pine Bluff; one daughter, Mary Hamilton and husband, Eugene, of Warren; a son-in-law, Bobby Parnell of Warren; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Parnell, who died May 17, 2001.
Funeral services were Tuesday, November 12, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Warren with Rev. A. D. Livingston and Rev. Harry Attaberry officiating. Gwen Thornton was pianist and soloist were Ted Keen and Shirley Reynolds. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home.
