Alma M. Landes, 99, of Eldorado, died Sunday, April 18, 2004. Born July 15, 1904, in Eaton, she was the daughter of Amos and Sophia (Baker) Brubaker. She was a member of Price's Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Eldorado. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee Roy Landes, on March 12, 1974; brothers, Sylvanus, Omer and twin Ira Brubaker; sister, Frances Markey; and two great-grandchildren, Adam Landes and Ruth Benedict. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Thelma Landes of Eldorado; daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline and Norman Flory of Eldorado, and Luella and Donald Knaus of Knob Noster, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Landes of Modesto, Calif.; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, at Price's Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Eldorado, with the Home Brethren officiating. Burial will be in Wares Chapel Cemetery, West Manchester. A prayer service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, just prior to services, at the home of Pauline and Norman Flory, 1922 Ware Miller Road, Eldorado. Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, is in charge of arrangements.
