He was born July 16, 1937 in Peoria, IL. He married Linda Miller in Peoria and they were married for 55 years. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Sherry Durand, Tom (Marsha) Durand, Donald S. (Dena) Durand Jr.; 9 grandchildren; and one sister, JoAnne Caskey. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
He worked at Pabst Brewery in Peoria until its closing. Donald loved spending time with his family, playing pool in area leagues, was a lifelong Cubs fan, and never knew a stranger. He will be dearly missed.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
