Mr. Aamodt was born in Milwaukee and raised in Chicago. He was a graduate of Purdue University and a member of Sigma Nu fraternity.
He served in WWII as a Navy Officer.
He owned a number of Culligan Water Conditioning Services and then went on to be founder and president of Production Systems, Inc., in Shoreview. He retired to FL in 1987, living on Hutchinson Island. He was a longtime resident of North Oaks, where he was an avid golfer. A devout Catholic, he regularly attended Mass at the Church of St. Louis in St. Paul. He was a generous benefactor to many charitable organizations.
He is survived by his wife Anna Marie Culligan Aamodt, daughter Mary Therese and husband Edouard of Paris, France, son David and wife Yasmine of St. Paul, daughter Christine and husband Dan of London, England, and son Gregory of Stuart, FL; brother Gerald of Tequesta, FL; and grandchildren Alexandra, Eric, Olivia, Stephanie, David, Jr., Julia, Alyssa, and Sophie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 29th, 2 PM, at the Church of St. Louis, King of France, Cedar at 10th St, St. Paul, with final resting at Resurrection Cemetery. No Visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Carmelite Order, Provincial Office, 1233 S. 45th St, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
