Ida Irene Riley died early Monday morning, April 13, 159, at the Mooney Nursing Home near Cadillac at the age of 89. She was born December 5, 1869, in Ohio, the daughter of David and Sarah Ayers. She was married to Solomon Riley at Grayling. Mr. Riley preceded her in death on December 2, 1935. Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Zora and Gladys; one son, Ray; and two step children, May and Harvey Riley. Mrs. Riley had lived in Kalkaska county for 79 years. She was a member of the Kalkaska Church of Christ, the Lodge, Grange and the Evergreen aid. Left to mourn her passing are two daughters, Ruby Darke of Cadillac; and Sylvia Leach of Kalkaska; four sons, John of Wisconsin, Jay and Walter of Kalkaska, and James of Hudson; also two sisters, Ellen Shops of California and Vergie Holister of Battle Creek. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday), April 16, at 2:00 p.m. from the Schwartz Funeral Home with Paul R. Stacy officiating. Burial will be in the Lodi cemetery.
